The Gallery carries an exemplary range of gifts, providing something for all tastes and budgets. Several products are unique to the Gallery.
For souvenirs of Polperro, we carry a range of exclusive Wentworth jigsaws featuring views of the village and local coastline. Also exclusive to Wesley House are a range of tablemats and coasters showing a variety of village scenes, both historical and contemporary.
For those wanting to buy locally produced gifts, we carry a range of felt flowers and pincushions handmade by Claire Maxwell, one of the local Polperro artists. Stained glass items such as angels, butterflies, boats, beetles and snails are handmade by Brian Shepherd, a longtime resident of the village. From slightly further afield, but still Cornish, is the fused glass of The Glass House, which produces a variety of lightcatchers on Cornish themes.
Any visitors who find themselves in need of entertainment, or for those looking for presents, we stock a range of games and puzzles. Tantrix is a mind-stretching puzzle which comes in solo and group versions, and is very addictive! Also made by the same company are the innovative games called Hive (similar to but not as complicated as chess), Trax (also a game for 2), and Army of Frogs (for 2-4 players). None of these games requires a board, so makes an ideal travelling companion.
There are a range of board games, from pirate Ludo to Continuo, and dice and card games (many designed by the award-winning Maureen Hiron).
For those who are more intrigued by feats of manual dexterity, we have a range of metal (nail) and wooden puzzles to take apart and reassemble -fiendishly difficult in some cases!
Anyone who needs to save money, or wants to encourage others to do so will find a good range of Terramundi pots - handmade in Italy and hand-decorated in London. These are exceptionally stylish in their own right, but with the added feature of being money boxes.
